I have just been sent the draft cover design for Letter to 'Oumuamua my new collection due from Otago University Press in the New Year.
We were originally going to call the book The Museum of Unnatural History after one of the poems included, but given that at least one other publication had snaffled that title and my memory of the striking Odilon Redon image we switched course. I have long loved the work of Odilon Redon and the picture chosen is typical of his symbolist, dream-like style. He was born in 1840 and died in 1916 and worked mainly in charcoal and pastels.
I just love this cover!
